Connections- Fire of Thornfield

The house of Thornfield burns down near the end of the book. A close friends neighbor's house recently burned down and it reminds me greatly of that, not to the point of people committing suicide by jumping off of roof tops. It is a very scary experience I am sure of it. I would not want to be in Mr. Rochester's shoes as he lost an entire hand in the ordeal. However the family I know lost their entire roof which is more than a hand and since Mr. Rochester has more than one house it was still more.

  1. A house on fire must be terrifying! Great work on this connection, although a quote might help illustrate the fear/horror of a fire...
